The non-Cuban version of the Partagas brand has been around for decades, debuting on the U.S. market in 1977. Over the past 46 years Partagas cigars have come in many styles, but a new line called Partagas Valle Verde Cigars marks a first for the brand, as it’s rolled with a cover leaf from Mexico. The line’s name is Spanish for “Green Valley,” a growing region that borders the Gulf of Mexico and features a comparatively cool climate, lengthy rainy season and rich volcanic soil.
