The line is named after the legendary cigar maker Jose ‘Pepin’ Garcia. In fact, it is the first cigar the Garcia family produced from their great factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. The cigars are also called Don Pepin Garcia Black Label due to their black bands. The name is also used to differentiate it from the Don Pepin Garcia Original, which has blue labels. They are available in a handful of sizes and named after the birth year of immediate family members of Pepin: 1979 Robusto (5" x 50), 1950 Toro (6" x 52), 2001 Gordo (6" x 60). and 1970 Belicoso (5 ½" x 54).
